  • Are you really free/how can you do all this for free?

Nice and easy this one, unlike other brokers who charge a fee AND receive a commission from the lender for introducing the business to them, we believe that brokers get enough and that professional advice really can be free. What could be more simple?

  • What area of the UK do you cover?

Simple - we cover the entire UK. Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, we do it all.

  • Do you carry out a credit search on me?

No. Simple Remortgage will never (nor do we have the ability) to credit search individuals. Talking to one of our advisers will not impact your credit file. Only once we’ve sourced the right product/recommendation for you and you confirm you’re happy to proceed, will we submit a mortgage application. It is at this point that you will be credit searched, by the lender you apply with.

  • What documents will be needed from me?

Proof of ID:

  • Passport or valid Driving License registered to your address

Proof of Address:

  • Council tax bill

  • Utility bill dated within the last 3 months posted to you

Proof of Income:

  • Your last 3 months’ payslips from your employer (employed)

  • Bonus/commission/overtime payslips (employed with varying income)

  • Your latest P60, showing income and tax paid for the year. (employed)

  • Your last 3 years’ tax calculations and tax year overviews (if you are a self-employed sole trader)

  • Your last 2 years company accounts completed by a qualified accountant (self-employed directors of limited companies)
